The Merion Tribute House was built in 1924 as a community meeting place and a venue for special occasions. Since then, it has hosted thousands of weddings, anniversary parties, bar and bat mitzvahs, as well as community and corporate events. Since it was never a home, the open floor plan works beautifully for parties, with three rooms adjoining an outdoor terrace for cocktail hours, and a ballroom which can seat up to 175 for receptions. Architectural details such as our oak Great Doors, stained glass windows, stone walls, high ceilings, slate and hardwood floors, walk-in Inglenook fireplace, and a wedding balcony make it an ideal location for wedding photographs. On eight beautifully landscaped acres, we can accommodate elegant outdoor ceremonies in a variety of locations. Fall and winter weddings are enhanced by two wood-burning fireplaces, candlelight, the chiming of our grandfather clock and intimate conversation areas.
