Betty's Bridal II

When I walked into Betty's Bridal, I didn't think I would find my wedding dress among all of the tulle and sequins, but I picked a few to try on since I had an appointment. The second dress I tried on seemed to be the one..almost. I didn't like the black sash, so the sales associate suggested ordering a separate ivory sash with crystals, and when she put it on me, I knew it was the dress for me. Since it was my first day looking, I asked to think about it for a couple days and come back with my mom and sister, and there was no pressure whatsoever to put money down that day. I did end up getting that dress and was able to have it altered by their seamstress, who did a fabulous job.My only complaint is that in January, they told me it would be in in about 3 months, and that they would call when it arrived. In the middle of May, when I hadn't heard from them, I called them, and they seemed surprised I hadn't received a call because my dress had already been in for a while.Overall, still a great experience!

This is where we got the brides maid dresses. The staff was extremely helpful, I had a lot of trouble deciding what I wanted. The prices were comparable to other stores in the area and it isn't a fancy store. At least the one I went to. Apparently the store moved again after we picked up all the dresses tothe now third location that I know of.

Thank you to Barbara for her help with ordering my bridesmaids gowns. I had already gotten my dress elsewhere when I stopped in to try on gowns for my maids who were concerned with cost. I chose an Alfred Angelo style, and Betty's got it for me at a great price. I also ordered an extra yard of fabric for my flower girls, whose dresses we made. Delivery was easy and on time. Although the Abington store is small and out-of-the-way, it's worth stopping in.

I'm not sure how i feel about this place.... I ordered my bridesmaid dress for my SIL's wedding here. They did not have the dresses we were purchasing in house so we tried them on at another store but they had the best price so we ordered through them. I found them to be a little disorganized and unfriendly. They did not properly advise me on which size to order and now that the dress has come in it needs to be majorly altered. Luckily i have friends that do that sort of work. Their hours are odd i tried to pick my dress up on a sunday and while the website said they would be open i found the store locked up.

We got our bridesmaids dresses, flower girl dresses, and groomsmen tuxes from Betty's, and they were phenomenal. They matched my girls' dresses perfectly, even though the flower girls and junior bridesmaid wore dresses from different makers than the bridesmaids. Barbara let my very picky fiance try on several different tuxes, and he then called her and changed his order a few weeks later, and Barbara was great about it all. Someone from Betty's always called with updates about who picked up their dress, when the tuxes came in, etc. I had a great experience with this store!

Great place until you need help with a problem. Very rude and unprofessional.

I loved my dress! Barbara and her staff were great to deal with. Only problem I had was with alterations. No in-house person but referred to someone who did not hem the bottom of my dress enough and also did not hem the crinoline.

This place is unprofessional and rude. My bridal party ordered their dresses from them and one of them got a dress that doesn't fit. Unfortunately, she lives 2 hours away which does complicate things. They ordered her the wrong size and when I told them that they told me (well, yelled at me) "We've been here for 100 years and we don't make mistakes like that". She couldn't have gained that much weight - believe me I'd admit it if she did. But her wedding gown fit her just perfectly in the same time frames that this dress was ordered and fitted. If she had gained weight it would have been too tight for her on her wedding day- and it fit PERFECTLY. I tried to explain this to the woman at the shop but was basically accused of lying to her!!!I KNOW they make mistakes like this because my sister went to get fitted for another wedding at this shop. They tried to order her a size that she knew was too small and she made them get someone else to measure her and they got the right size.The shop REFUSES to admit they made a mistake, REFUSES to have a dress rush ordered and REFUSES to help pay for alterations which cost twice as much as what the dress cost. The woman on the phone actually yelled at me (which, I admit, put me into a fit of rage SCREAMING right back at her). Completely unprofessional and rude.Sorry, lady. But the woman who measured my friend wasn't there for 100 years. And she very well could have made a mistake. SHe may have just accidently wrote the wrong number down when she took the measurements!! NO ONE is perfect, we all make mistakes- it's fessing up to them that make us better people.

I was so happy that I had an experience with Betty's Bridal .The boutique was specious and carry all kinds of gorgeous pieces. And I loved atmosphere in it - very relaxing and stuff is very helpful.

Over all I was very happy with Betty's Bridal II for my girls bridesmaid dresses. I went to BB looking for a Wedding dress and while there found they had a large selection of bridesmaid dresses as well. I shopped around a lot but went back to Betty's because she was honest about prices etc. She was able to order in dresses that I had seen other places at much better prices and after the girls paid for them they were shipped for FREE to each girls house! This was great b/c there were many stores that were a lot closer but way more pricey. One problems was that a few girls dresses were the wrong size according to the "chart" but they got alterations and all was good.

Betty's had a great selection of bridesmaid dresses. They were not helpful at all when looking for my wedding gown. They overcharged my girls for their dresses, making them order larger sizes, and extra length, when it was not needed at all! 3 out of my 4 bridesmaids needed complete alterations to the dresses...taking in sizes worth of fabric!

I really enjoyed my experience at Betty's Bridal. Barb was super helpful as I selected the dresses for my bridesmaids. The price was very reasonable and my bridesmaids were pleased with their experience. The only downside was that they didn't have a seamstress on site at the Jenkintown store. I know that the store location moved to Roslyn, so that may have changed.

I actually went to the sister shop of Betty's Bridal located in Cliffton Heights. The outside appearance of the store is not the best, but the employees inside make this shop amazing. I looked in many bridal stores before this one. Their prices were unbeatable. I bought my dress there and the bridesmaids got their dresses there!The employees are welcoming and helpful. I had a girl drop out of the wedding, and added someone else they were great with working with me on it.

I bought my dress at Betty's Bridal on Baltimore Pike. They are true experts. I can't praise them enough. The alterations dept- stellar!

I ordered all of my bridesmaids gowns from Betty's Bridal and could not have been more pleased with the cost per gown that they established. It was much cheaper than all the other salons in the Philadelphia area, the gowns turned out amazing and were delivered well before schedules delivery date! It was truly a miracle to find such a kind staff after having been to countless bridal salons it was a pleasure to find this place. I will be recommending them to brides for years to come.

I actually went to the other Betty's Bridal in Clifton Heights, PA (Delaware County). This place is super tiny and packed with dresses! The store has been there forever, these ladies know what they are doing. I highly recommend going on a week night if possible, it gets very crowded even with just one bridal party. However, they have a wonderful selection of bridal and bridesmaids dresses. The girl who helped me was so nice and upbeat and made my experience so much fun! And most importantly- VERY reasonably priced! My dress was only $650 and the bridesmaids was around $125- can't beat it!

The only reason that I went to this bridal shop was b/c they had the dresses that I had seen in a magazine. I should have known from the get-go that this was going to be bad news. Just a few points...the store just seemed dirty, the staff was inattentive and seemed to be doing way too many things at once. They ordered the wrong dresses and it took over a month and several complaints to finally get them in. Their hours are not as advertised causing me to leave work early TWICE to pick up my dresses. If you want a stress-free and professional experience you will NOT find it here!!!

I went to the Clifton Heights location for my wedding. The staff helped me to pick my dress and I also had my alterations done there. I would recommend Betty's to anyone who is willing to sacrifice on labels for cost. Including alterations I spent $700 with this vendor after taking a discount for buying a sample dress.
