Working with LISA WAS LIKE WORKING WITH A HIGHLY SKILLED ARTIST AND ARCHITECT.i ordered several 41 individual cakes. The detail work on my cakes was incredible!My cake tasting was outstanding and I was offered several options and she was open to new requests.Lisas talent extends to beautiful sugar work the likes of things you see in china stores but she recreates them in sugar its truly amazing,I highly recommend her.Barbara

Lisa was AMAZING! She even made me a special cake for my MOH with less than 24 hours notice. DELICIOUS, professional, sweet as can be. And what's best - she makes you an anniversary cake - so you don't have to eat year old cake on your 1st anniversary. I HIGHLY recommend her :)

Lisa did an amazing job on my recent wedding cake. She was extremely accommodating, and the cake turned out exactly as I had envisioned it! We received many compliments on how delicious the cake was as well. Lisa was able to add a special touch to our wedding cake - hand painted butterflies to represent each of our grandparents that were unable to make our wedding. It was the perfect touch and received great attention from our guests. Thanks again for an incredible wedding cake!

Lisa did an AMAZING job on both our wedding cake and grooms cake. She was professional, creative, and absolutely wonderful to work with. She pays attention to each and every detail and most importantly her cakes tasted delicious. My husband and I are constantly receiving compliments about our wedding cake and we are beyond grateful that chose Lisa to be a part of our big day.

The cake was beautiful and exactly as I had described it. We had some guests that were unable to commit to our date and we needed to change the size of the cake. Lisa did this with no issue and was very accommodating. Although it was everything I had wanted, the wedding cake is not as big a part of the event as I had thought and we might have devoted a little too much of the overall budget to it.

I have had Lisa do a variety of desserts for me through the years, and I have always been extremely happy! Cream puffs, lemon squares, peanut butter eggs, ice cream and of course; cakes. This time, she actually did a 3 tiered cake for my daughters graduation. WOW----it was lovely---and delicious!! Red Velvet--my daughters favorite!! She has always given me the prices up front, so I am never surprised when I receive the final cost. (it's worth every penny!) Thank goodness Lisa takes time out of her busy schedule to give me a friendly reminder phone call since I sometimes forget to call her back to finalize the cake! I would be in trouble then--my friends and family always look forward to tasting Lisa's next wonderful creation. You get what you pay for, and if you want quality ingredients, a delicious dessert, and fabulous service from the tasting to the set up---I highly recommend Lisa.

Lisa was great to work with. Her cakes are not only beautiful, they are delicious as well. So many wedding cakes seem to look pretty and then have no flavor. Lisa's cakes definitely do not fall into that category. We had a hard time choosing our flavors at the tasting....everything was so good. We received a lot of great compliments on the cake.Lisa was very easy to work with and open to all of our ideas. I had a "surprise" cake topper for my husband and she did a great job of helping to keep it a secret. I would definitely use Candy & Confections again!

In 2003, Lisa made my husband and I a beautiful and delicious wedding cake. I knew that I could count on Lisa to help me surprise my brother with a special and unique cake for his 30th birthday. Growing up my brother was (and still is) a huge Homer Simpson fan. Ironically, he (just like Homer) works in a nuclear power plant. We wanted to incorporate this theme into his cake. Lisa made a tiered cake in the shape of a nuclear power plant cooling tower and she also made a Homer Simpson figure out of gum paste. It looked fabulous! It was fun working with Lisa and she incorporated any special request I wanted for the cake. The final product was above and beyond my expectations. It was an awe-inspiring cake and it was such a piece of art that no one wanted to cut into it!! My brother was completely surprised and the cake was a big hit! In addition, the cake was very moist and delicious. Thank you Lisa for making a wonderful, yet edible work of art for my brother’s 30th birthday!

I see that pretty much all of you gave a 5/5 review for her but I feel differently. We met with her to taste her cakes and icings way in advance. We were up front with her as to what we wanted and i had a picture of the cake (which to note was not fancy AT ALL). First off her cake was heavy like meatloaf and her icing was so sweet you could taste nothing else. It tasted like cheap wilton cake from the grocery store. She then priced us at around $800- $900 for the cake (which was only 2 tiers and one color with no design). WHOOOAA! she then proceeded to say "I know I'm more expensive then others" She didn't know we had already been to 5 other places and got quotes which were alot less than hers, by half the price. I don't care if you make desserts for stokesay, it doesn't mean you can jack up your prices. The person I got my cake from makes desserts for 3 very elegant restaurants and it was half the price and I actually added a 3rd tier. After about 3 months she kept calling my phone off the hook and finally we got back to her. She got very defensive and said "Well you can always go to Giant" then proceeded to say "I don't know of anyone who is cheaper than $4.50 a slice". Ummm yeah you do or you wouldn't have made that comment about being more expensive than others.Just saying.

I am a very picky person. I was recomended to Lisa from another one of my vendors. I sent her an email inquiring some info and received a call the same day. We set an appointment to meet. My fiance and I went together. She offered a bunch of options and worked with us to plan the perfect combonation of flavors, even whipping up a lime flavor never previously having one. She was the first baker we met with, and after meeting with a few others, was the only one we even considered using. We chose a three tier cake with sugar flowers and butterflies covering it, in vanilla and chocolate with lime and strawberry mousse fillings. On my wedding day, my fiance and I took a moment before to look at the cake. It was everything I had wanted and more. I could not have been happier, and it tasted amazing to top it off. I heard comments from guests about how beautiful it was and how wonderful it tasted. People who didnt attend my wedding told me they heard the cake was amazing. I woud recomend Lisa to anyone considering her for their wedding cake, she will not disapoint you.

Lisa's tasting party sells her cake. How delicious and fun. She was very helpful in decisions and very responsive to our preferences. The cake came out absolutely beautiful and it was nice to have one detail of the day you didn't have to worry about at all. Our only problem was the cake was so delicious, there were no leftovers. Can't wait for the first anniversary.

Lisa ... Thank you for our wonderful weddign cake. It was the best cake - great flavors - Apple Spice with Strawberry Mousse - try it you may really like it too!!! I know we had a bigger cake then we needed, but so many people were asking to take pieces home due to the great taste. Thanks for doing the design exactly the way we wanted it. Nora (Crow) Schell.

Lisa made us a groom's cake with real looking sugar cards and poker chips. It tasted as good as it looked. The wedding cake was just beautiful and one of a kind. Lisa really listens to what you want. She makes moist cakes and gives you many flavor options. She is quite artistic. She even moved up our delivery time right before the wedding even though she had another wedding cake to deliver. The wedding cake Lisa made for us was exceptional. Her edible daisies on the multi-layer cake were so detailed and accurate that they looked real. Many commented that it was the most elegant wedding cake they had ever seen. Lisa's artistic cake do not take away from the flavor, which was scrumptious. Lisa is a veritable artist and baker. She is patient and attuned to the desires of her clients. We had an idea in mind and she made it happen. Thanks, Lisa, for making the perfect cake for us.

Our wedding cake was absolutely gorgeous, simple and elegant!!! It was everything I had hoped for. Lisa was able to make an amazing tasting cake within our budget that took my breath away. She also made us chocolate covered strawberries, lemon-raspberry tartlets, and mini-cheesecakes for those guest that wanted more than just wedding cake. Lisa was very accomodating and did an "argyle" wedding cake for my daughter'swedding. It was very pretty and the cake was delicious with a chocolate moussefilling.

We ordered individual cakes (3-inch round) for the guests at our wedding shower. Since the theme is “daisies,” Lisa made a daisy and leaves out of fondant and placed it on top of a stem of each cupcake. Vanilla cupcakes were in a white “vase” (base), and the chocolate ones were in yellow (the color of the bridal party’s gowns). Each base looked like a basket-woven container. Everything was edible except for the stem, which was a wire that went from the cupcake to the daisy. Besides being so pretty, the cupcakes tasted great. As I suspected, some people wanted to show their friends; thus, I had purchased boxes with a clear front for those who wanted to take them home. One other mentionable comment is that Lisa came to the banquet hall an hour prior to the event so that she could set up the cakes. She came dressed professionally, even though she came 1 hour before the guests. Very impressive! Great job, Lisa! Much appreciated—you are a true baker and artist.
