Wedding: 12/30/11
I know nothing about videography so I waited and it was the last vendor I booked. Honestly, I didn't know if I needed videography, until after my wedding when I saw my trailer and video. My well known photographer referred James Knightly and so I went with it, unsure of what videography entailed. I contacted James, and he responded right away, explaining he was a cinematographer and the differences between videography and cinematography. He answered all my questions, and I had a lot.
When it came to my wedding day, I barely noticed he was there, never getting in the way, and never shining that annoying bright light like I see some videographers do at weddings. James and his wife (who was the 2nd cinematographer) were professional and very polite.
I received my wedding trailer in 2 weeks, unbelievable!!!! It was perfect, the right kind of music and it told a story about my day. It was so nice to have something to show everyone when people ask for pictures and you don't have the prof ones yet. It's quicker to show than pics and it gives them a real sense of the day. The trailer captured so much in 2 minutes, it was just like a real movie trailer....I cried and watched it 20 times the first day. Then I received my wedding video 1 month later (again short timeframe) and it was AMAZING! (Some of my friends have waited 6 months to receive their video). James again picked the perfect music to set the mood of the highlight portion of the film and I have the full length sections of everything also. He even focused on my family like I had asked him to do. I also asked him to include my parent's anniversary celebration in the full length section and he did without any questions.
After seeing my video and trailer I can't imagine not having a video of my wedding. I also look forward to showing my kids one day. I will forever cherish it. I relied heavily on reviews for my wedding. If you are in doubt about booking a cinematographer, definitely do it!!! I'm an extremely picky person and a critic of everything. I absolutely loved James work and highly recommend him to anyone that is getting married...You will love him, his work, and will not have any regrets...I promise.

James is such an amazing and talented artist. He made the most beautiful video for my wedding. It was creative, high quality, and like nothing I've ever seen before. He made our video one of a kind and completely personalized to our wedding day. Not only did he do an awesome job with the finished product, he was so perfect on the wedding day itself. We had a freak snow storm and James showed up on time, professional as ever, and made the craziest day of my life look effortless, magical, and like something out of a fairytale. I couldn't have asked for a better videographer.

You would be lucky to have James film your wedding. To begin, James is a wonderful human being- bright, humble, talented, hard-working. His work impresses the top-level professionals in his field. My guests were blown away by his video and said it was the BEST wedding video they had EVER seen. He was very professional and listened to everything we wanted. He somehow blended into the crowd yet didn't miss a moment! James is a visionary and a true artist. He enjoys what he does and it shows in his work.

Working with James Knightly Films was a true pleasure from beginning to end. James met with us multiple times prior to our event to discuss logistics, what exactly we wanted him to shoot, and to get to know our creative tastes. The final product truly showed the fruits of these efforts, showcasing the events of the day while including tender moments and sentimental shots that only someone who had taken the time to get to know his clients could have captured. He was able to do all of this without once seeming to intrude or impose on the events of our most special day. We especially loved his willingness to use an atypical medium to shoot our wedding - 16mm film with a Bolex camera - instead of his usual method of digital videography. All of our guests couldn't stop raving about "how awesome the guy using the big antique camera" was on our wedding day, and they still can't stop praising the beautiful artistic film that he made for us. On a day where many of our vendors failed to deliver what they promised, James Knightly Films came through in a way that was above and beyond what we ever could have hoped for. I would - and do - recommend James Knightly Films to anyone looking for a truly exceptional wedding videographer.

James Knightly Films is the reason why I will FOREVER cherish my April 1st Wedding! He is not your normal "wedding photographer" and TRUST ME HONEY that is a good thing, ha! He is beyond professional and has the talent of a famous movie videographer. No home made, scratchy, tacky, low quality filming going on here! James is VIP STYLE when it comes to his talent and his artistic ability to catch and film the most perfect moments. My family and friends were beyond impressed with our mini Wedding Movie by James Knightly and have even requested as well as used his services since! In the end.. there are always those things that us brides wish we could have done differently on our wedding day but our Videographer was NOT one of those things! Thank you for your amazing service James!
