Lochel's Bakery

We got our wedding came from lochels and it was delicious! The cake was beautiful And tasted great! They have so many great flavors to choose from!

Lochel's Bakery provided the cake for my 10/9/11 wedding. Their services were included as one of the possible bakers at my venue, so I can't speak to costs, but the cake was delicious. We really wanted a pumpkin cake and committed to Lochel's before we'd had a chance to try that sample (it being seasonal). Well, the cake at the wedding turned out even better than the sample we ultimately had--it had a great pumpkin flavor, not overwhelming but tastefully spiced and perfect for an autumn wedding. The design was also great, exactly what we wanted with fondant leaves and fall berries at no extra cost. We can't wait to have the pumpkin cake again next year--Lochel's provides a free anniversary cake for wedding couples. :)

Our wedding cake was included in our wedding package at the Spring Mill Manor. I have to say that this was not a bad deal. Everyone at the bakery was very nice and the cake was beautiful and tasted great! They offer so many flavors and options, no one will be disappointed!

OUr cake was delicious! We had vanilla and chocolate chip.

I asked Lochel's to alternate the decorations on the cake layers with one of swiss dots and then a layer with a pattern of my dress, etc. It wasn't a simple pattern, but a beautiful flower pattern. When I saw my cake, it took my breath away. It was perfect and looked better than I could even imagine. I loved it!

The cake was great. My cake was included with my wedding package with the Spring Mill Manor. Everyone was telling me how beautiful our cake was. I could not have ask for anything more. So many different flavors to chose from. I will love to get another cake form this bakery.

The cake was included in the wedding venue package but I didn't realize until 2 weeks before my wedding that I had to go visit a bakery and choose one! Lochel's was recommended by my wedding coordinator and they were soooo helpful! They were booked for appointments but they managed to find a time when I could come in for a tasting. Kathleen was very helpful and I was shocked at how many of the cakes pictured in the book were actually part of my package. (A lot of places seem to say "it's included" and then you only have like 3 of something to choose from). She made us aware of any "extras" but did not pressure us into anything. All of the cakes offered were BEAUTIFUL and we loved the flavors we chose to taste. We ended up with alternating tiers of lemon swirl pound cake and the chocolate chip pound cake so there was a little variety for guests. We also chose a design that was featured on one of the shelves in the bakery but was not yet shown in the book. Everything was included! Lochel's really helped me customize a cake for my wedding without pressuring me into anything extra that I didn't want. I really appreciated that, especially so close to my date when money was tight. This cake was DELICIOUS! It was moist, and the butter cream icing was perfect, not too sweet, everything was perfect. We were more then happy with what we received. We even got compliments on how great it was! Worth every penny!

We had a difficult time choosing a baker, but in the end Lochel's was the perfect choice. They easily had the best flavor selections, both for cake and for fillings, and Kathleen, the woman who met with us for our tastings, was so patient and pleasant and accommodating. We had a specific design in mind, and I was worried that they wouldn't be able to execute it properly in buttercream (my husband is vehemently opposed to fondant). However, on the day of the wedding I was so thrilled to see how absolutely gorgeous it looked! Everything was perfect - they gave excellent attention to detail. It looked just as wonderful as it tasted. More than a few guests said that it was the best wedding cake they had ever eaten. We also loved that they made adorable gluten-free chocolate and vanilla cupcakes with our initials decorating the tops for our guests with Celiac disease. We strongly recommend Lochel's to any couple searching for their dream wedding cake.

Kathleen and Lochel's did a fabulous job on our wedding cake. When I met with them- I brought in a picture of the design I wanted but with my colors. After leaving our tasting/meeting and deciding on a flavor- we decided we wanted to try the almond raspberry that they did not have available the day of our tasting. Kathleen has a sample ready for me to pick up the next time I was in town. When we wanted to change our cake flavor- it was not an issue either =) On our wedding day, the cake was exactly what we wanted- I was very impressed. The gum paste flowers were beautiful and the fondant looked fabulous. My guests were constantly complimenting both the design and taste- many said it was the "moistest" cake they have had at a wedding. I would recommend Lochel's to all of my friends and family!

We got our wedding cake from Lochel's and it was fabulous. Only issue was that we didn't get to eat much of it on our wedding day!! It looked absolutely fabulous at the reception hall and it was decorated perfectly! Kathleen was easy to work with and gave great information when asked about fillings. We are hoping to have a delicious top of our cake for our 1 year anniversary! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! EXCELLENT TO WORK WITH! TRUSTED BAKER IN HATBORO!!

Our cake was BEAUTIFUL and exactly what we requested. Lochel's incorporated the pearl and rhinestone brooches that we provided perfectly!

Kathleen and Lochel's was a DREAM to work with. They have the best tasting buttercream around, not overly butter flavored and sweet but not too sugary. Their prices are also impossible to beat. Every time I called the entire staff was pleasant and helpful. My cake turned out wonderful, and kathleen's got a great sense of style to help you figure out how to achieve your dream cake. Lochel's Bakery was awesome. They had so many beautiful cake designs to choose from and the cake tasting appointment was a lot of fun. The cake was even more beautiful in person than I could have imagined. It tasted delicious as well. What was cool was they allowed us to make each layer a different flavor. The icing is absolutely fantastic as well. They were awesome - I'll definitely be visiting their bakery again.

We recently had the pleasure of using Lochel's bakery. They are wonderful and caring people. Kathleen sat down with me and helped me design a cake that fit our wedding reception theme. My husband plays mens adult baseball and the cake they made for us was Awesome !!! We had a bride & groom baseball player toppers. The cake they made was baseball teirs and the philadelphia phillies hall of fame center. Take the time to go and speak with Kathleen I know you will not be disapointed. We chose the mocha chocolate chip for the main part of the cake and our guests went crazy over it. And while your there check out their other goodies.... I don't normally do these reviews, but Lochel's bakery provided us with our wedding cake and it was both delicious and beautiful!!! We worked with Kathleen, who answered all of our questions quickly via both email and phone, spent time with us at our consultation helping to create our perfect cake, and delivered a quality product to the country club. We also ordered a strawberry shortcake and birthday cake from Lochel's for other events and they were delightfully tasty! My only complaint is that I don't live close enough to get all my bakery goods from them on a regular basis! Highly recommend them for a wonderful wedding cake!

Lochels is by far the best bakery that my family has EVER worked with! We ordered 2 rehearsal dinner cakes and our wedding cake from Lochels, and I still get emails from our guests every day, saying it's the best cake they ever had. Thank you so much to Lochel's bakery for helping make my yankee/ phillies theme wedding a memorable one. Not only did our cake look amazing but tasted great! All my guests and even the hall caterers raved how amazing the cake looked. I want to thank Lochel's for accomadiating my last minute changes in making a larger cake and also making the mini phillie phanatic. They also delivered it long distance for us. In the future I will continue to recommend Lochel's for all bakery needs and continue to get cakes for all occasions from them. Thank you Lochel's!!!

The Philly Bride Cake was beautiful! Everyone loved the look and the taste. We loved that Lochel's Bakery allowed us to mix up both the marble and chocolate chips...we think it really made the dessert exceptional! So many people came up to us telling us how amazing the cake was! We worked with Kathleen and she was very professional and answered any of our e-mails quickly. Thanks for everthing. We will definitely get more cakes from Lochel's.
