Mark and his team are highly experienced and very good designers. I wanted to just give my initial ideas, and then stepped back and just let them make it happen. I felt that I wanted to just worry about my dress and having a good time at my wedding, so I chose experienced vendors whom I could trust to just handle everything. My bouquet and flowers were absolutely breathtaking. I was very happy I put my trust in Mark. I highly recommend him.

Mark Bryan and team are fabulous! My flowers were beautiful! They were so nice and so easy to work with- and it was no big deal that I lived out of state. Their shop is worth a stop in too. I would recommend this florist to anyone! They know their stuff and really care about each bride!

Mark Bryan has rebranded and relaunched his business as “Mark Bryan Designs.” We first discovered Mark’s work after visiting Holly Hedge and researching all of the places on their ‘recommended vendors sheet.’ We knew we were looking for something totally nontraditional and stylized. After selecting three to visit in person - a smart move in general to pick three vendors in every category and meet with them - we set about our initial consults. After two rather disappointing meetings with other florists who just lacked that creative spark we were looking for, we made the trek out to scenic Upper Black Eddy to sit down with Mark and his beyond-amazing design partner, Darlene. I swear I am not making this up: I knew when we pulled into the driveway that this was meant to be. The place screamed "artistic" and the fact that Mark lives next door to the shop in a 1930s Craftsman (my favorite) was just too kismet. It was almost like stepping into an enchanted village or something. Take a drive there and you’ll see what I mean because Mark isn’t just a florist: he’s a true designer. If you want just a hand-tied bouquet and some low centerpieces, Mark’s talents will be totally wasted but he’ll do a good job. If you are looking for the truly spectacular, that is why you hire Mark Bryan to do your wedding. He has props, he has lighting, he has unique accents that no one else is going to have. He is a true connoisseur of the total design of an event and has a definite vision. Mark oozes charm and creativity and he is an extremely good read of people. He knew exactly what I was looking for and how frustrated I was with my previous florist experiences. I was looking for something with a WOW factor that no one has ever seen before, yet something that would blend with the entire experience. I wanted our wedding design to evoke the 1930s and Mark totally delivered. He immediately got my vision for the champagne bucket centerpieces - art deco, whimsical yet crisp and elegant - and he countered with a concept for a second idea: antique 1930's trumpet vases with callas and peacock feathers as well as sprays of silver to keep that slightly avant garde feel. We wound up doing both. It was definitely a marriage of two outside-the-box thinkers and the fact that Mark knew how to communicate with us and carry out our vision for the day was all we needed to know. I was sold! We booked Mark Bryan to do the ceremony decor (he is a Holly Hedge house designer so this worked out quite well), as well as the reception flowers. I am not a flower lover by any means and for that reason, decided not to do traditional bouquets or boutonnieres or corsages of any kind. (My aunt made exquisite peacock feather bouquets for us instead.) Mark had the whole scheme mapped out and would check in with me frequently and make himself available to answer any questions that came up. Because he is so in demand, his schedule can be a bit challenging, especially if you're from out of town like us so we had to make an effort to visit in person. It worked out that we only went for the initial meeting and the final consult and that was enough. I trusted Mark and Darlene implicitly and they blew us away with their final designs. Darlene created an exquisite niche piece that served as the backdrop to our ceremony in the stone barn and I wish that it had been fake so we could have kept it forever, it was that beautiful. Mark set up atmospheric coach lanterns in every nook and cranny of the barn, as well as the courtyard and lined the walkway down to the reception barn so that Holly Hedge really was transformed into some Gatsby-esque estate soiree. I could not have asked for a more perfect melding of design concept, materials, and creative synergy to fully realize my Art Deco vision. Mark Bryan Designs is worth every penny.

My husband and I were recently married and contracted with Mark Bryan for our florals. The flowers turned out better then anticipated. They were so beautiful, and Mark and his staff were a pleasure to work with. Given that we do not live in New Hope, Mark was extra flexible, and good communication was kept over the entire planning process. My husband is a green-thumb, and this was the portion of the wedding that he was super involved in. We were both so excited to see how the florals would turn out, and were over joyed when we saw them. Thank you Mark and Darlene for making our day (and our flowers) so special and beautiful!

I can't say enough good things about Mark Bryan and Darlene at Hairy Mary's/ Mark Bryan Designs! I am the kind of person who likes to be really involved in every aspect of planning my daughter's wedding, and they were totally willing to take my ideas and make them a beautiful reality. They worked with silver pieces I collected for the centerpieces as well as garden elements that I wanted to incorporate from my own home. Make no mistake, they are truly artists, but they allowed me to start them off with a seed of an idea, and made the wedding so perfectly beautiful it brought tears to my eyes! They even changed the plan at the last minute when I changed my mind about some pretty major details, without any grumpiness. Their main concern was always that we would really love the end result and we totally did. This shop may be a bit pricey, but for flower arrangements that are not just - run-of-the mill, Hairy Mary's was completely worth the price. They were absolutely the icing on the cake. They made everything just right! And for that, i will always be grateful.

Amazing, Amazing, Amazing...I was stunned. I truly never expected what I seen when I opened the door to my bridal suite...My bouquets were over the top...more than I could have envisioned. I just could not wait to see the venue. Mind blowing...Mark and Darlene Transformed my space into a fairy tale with flowers....I wanted that day to go on and on. Thank you so very much for making my dream come true. All I could say is you could have not done it better...I will refer anyone I know to you....Again THANK YOU!!!

Wedding flowers were very important to me because I felt that it was that final touch that could really make or break our overall vision. When we first met with Mark, we knew he was more than capable of creating our vision. Our aesthetic was very clean and modern. Mark took out a pencil and paper and begin sketching what we had said that we wanted- and sure enough, he got it right on the first try. I worked closely with Mark and showed him some tears from magazine that really inspired me. When it got to the day of the wedding- everything was just as I had hoped for, if not more beautiful. I believe that Hairy Mary's team took all my ideas and created a beautiful and personal masterpiece which really set our wedding apart and showed our personality. I highly recommend Hairy Mary's to anyone with such a vision- because they will do a fantastic job at delivering. Hairy Mary's made our flower and decor experience wonderful. They were able to pull together flowers that were so "us" with just a few magazine clippings I brought to the first meeting. I highly recommend going through Hairy Mary's for flowers and decor. You won't be disappointed!

Praise for Mark Bryan and Darlene! Our wedding was beautiful and they truly nailed the feel and atmosphere that we'd hoped to achieve. The ceremony was outdoors, which provided some challenges as to what to do for an arrangement (we wanted it entirely natural, with no columns or pedestals). Mark designed a birch branch arrangement that simply blew me away. He also has the creative mindset that will help make your event truly unique. He provided dozens of lanterns as not only part of the centerpieces, but also the ceremony and lining the walkways. They created a warm, glowing atmosphere. The flowers were phenomenal, and so many guests commented on them. I must also personally thank Mark and Darlene for going above and beyond for us. My husband and I are both very left-brained (analytical, logical, etc). Therefore we should never go into the florist business! Mark and Darlene brought the right-brained strokes of creativity to our floral arrangements. Sometimes it was difficult for me to see the big picture or put my desires into words, but they did a fantastic job interpreting the atmosphere we were seeking and making it happen. Kudos to Mark and Darlene at Hairy Mary's! If you work with them, you'll not be disappointed!

I wish this scale went up to a 10 because Mark was over the charts on his talent and professionalism. I loved working with him. I could not have been happier with my flowers. He really "got" what I was going for. Loved wrking with them..... Gorgeous amazing flowers!

Mark and Darlene were the most inspirational designers. Every aspect from the entrance of the ceremony to the cocktails arrangements to the entry pc. to the decor and tables were amazing. My bouquet and attendants bouquets were breath taking. Everytime I think back it was like walking into a fairy tale. Everyone is still talking about the florals. If anyone out there wants a picture perfect wedding I recommend Mark and Darlene.

I was working with a strict budget on flowers, but I really didn't want to sacrifice quality. Hairy Mary's created amazing bouquets for me and my bridesmaids as well as truly unique boutonnieres for the groomsmen and elegant arrangements for the reception venue. The flowers, like the mango calla lilies for my bridesmaids, were unlike any I had ever seen. I also have to echo that Mark really does go above and beyond for his clients. When my cake arrived at the venue, it was undecorated (to save on cost, I was planning on having a friend put the floral decorations on). Mark was there when the cake arrived and used extra flowers from the arrangements to decorate my cake (at no charge). The cake looked absolutely amazing and it was such a wonderful surprise. I couldn't have been happier with Hairy Mary's and I definitely recommend them for your wedding.

I have only positive things to say about hairy mary's! Mark and his entire staff were amazing through the entire process. Mark truly gets to know you and your style and creates a personalized experience for you. Everything from the flowers to the fabrics to the candle displays were so perfect! Our guests are still talking about how the flowers were the most beautiful they had ever seen at a wedding! They transformed the spaces into exactly what I had envisioned for my wedding day! The colors were vibrant and are going to make my pictures so wonderful!

Mark and the staff at Hairy Mary's were phenomenal. The flowers were unbelievable and we could not have asked for more. They were really helpful in finding something we were happy with within our budget, which was extremely helpful. We would highly recommend Hairy Mary's for a wedding or other event!!

Mark was our dream florist! He listened to what we wanted and made it all come true. He suggested and tweaked things based on what we said we liked and was just overall a pleasure to work with. He even asked an employee to drive 30 minutes to help us get sparklers the week of the wedding! His hours are slightly difficult if you aren't available during the day since the location is far, but his store and grounds are worth getting there. Overall we were very pleased.

I absolutely LOVE Mark at Hairy Mary's. I got flowers that looked like they were triple the price. He did amazing work- the entire theme of the wedding were the flowers, and he did exactly as I wanted, and much, much more. He made me feel like I was only bride he was working with- extremely attentive, detail-oriented, and responsive. I hope to work with him again!

Absolutely so much fun to work with and did a stunning job! Mark was so flexibile and had terrific ideas. He also didn't shy away when my mom and I had our own ideas. He was honest and incorporated all the colors and elements we wanted. He even went above and beyond and ordered crates of grapes like 2 weeks before the big day when we decided it was a great touch in the centerpieces. Would 100% recommend Hairy Mary's!

Mark at Hairy Mary's really did such a beautiful job for our wedding! I adored our flowers, and our guests are still talking about how gorgeous everything was. I gave Mark the basics of what I had in mind, and he completely exceeded my expectations - he has so much creativity and talent! Highly Recommend!

My husband and I had a tight budget with our wedding, yet I knew flowers would be important to me. Mark was able to create the most stunning reception room and flowers for the bridal party, completely exceeding my expectations! As a designer myself, I can be bossy at times, but Mark is so easy to work with and understood the vision for my wedding right from the start. The flowers were so fresh and beautiful. None of them wilted for at least a week after the wedding. My bouquet looked fake it was so pretty. He brought huge urns with flowers from my church to the reception, no questions asked..because I wanted them in both places! I highly suggest a consultation with Mark if you are able to, it is well worth your time and money.
