We really wanted to do something special for our first dance, and not look like two fools just swaying back and forth. We went to Society Hill Dance Academy and took one of the group lessons to start out, and had so much fun. We then decided to sign up for private lessons to learn something more specific to our song.
We had 10 lessons with Tim, and he was great! He taught us SO much. He taught us all the basic steps and then went into some more fancy moves. He got us to "choreograph" our dance ourselves as we went- that way we got into our own rhythm of moves and everything felt natural, not forced. We felt so comfortable doing the dance at the wedding and received so many compliments on it!
We can't wait to go back and use up the group lessons that came with the package, they'll be great date night activities. I'd highly recommend them!

Were took a dance lesson here. It was ok, but we found we did better by just practicing at home.
